A preliminary 2.6 magnitude earthquake struck near Yountville on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, as reported by NBC Bay Area.

NBC Bay Area reported the quake hit at 9:06 a.m. Tuesday. The epicenter was located 2.9 miles south-southwest of Oakville, 7.6 miles north-northeast of Sonoma and 10.3 miles northwest of Napa.

According to NBC Bay Area: No reports of damage or injuries were immediately available. The USGS designation of the quake as preliminary means the magnitude and location could be revised as more data is reviewed.
