According to KALW 91.7: California has awarded $10 million to the Jackson Playground renovation project in San Francisco, which has a total cost of $48 million. The funding will support a range of improvements, including new playgrounds, a dedicated dog run, enhanced ballfields, a community garden, and an outdoor multi-use court.

The renovation plans also include rebuilding and expanding the clubhouse by 1,850 square feet, adding a kitchen, restrooms, and a stage. KALW 91.7 reported on the project's progress.

The state funding is contingent on approval from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.

The Friends of Jackson Park has been working on the project since 2014, incorporating community input throughout the process.
