Deer Valley Road safety work runs through November 20

Contra Costa County Public Works is performing road traffic safety improvements at four sites along Deer Valley Road between Empire Mine Road and Marsh Creek Road from September 8 through November 20, 2026.

Contra Costa County Public Works is performing road traffic safety improvements at four sites along Deer Valley Road between Empire Mine Road and Marsh Creek Road. The project runs from September 8, 2026, through November 20, 2026, according to the Antioch Herald.

Work occurs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays, weather permitting, as reported by the Antioch Herald.

Funding for the project is provided by the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and Local Gas Tax SB1, according to the Antioch Herald.

Traffic control and message boards will alert drivers to work zones, as stated by the Antioch Herald.
