Traffic safety improvements begin at four Deer Valley Road sites

Contra Costa County Public Works will conduct traffic safety improvements at four sites on Deer Valley Road in Antioch and Brentwood from September 8 through November 20, 2026.

Contra Costa County Public Works will conduct traffic safety improvements at four sites along Deer Valley Road between Empire Mine Road and Marsh Creek Road in Antioch and Brentwood from September 8 through November 20, 2026. Work will occur Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays, weather permitting. The project is intended to enhance safety at four locations on Deer Valley Road and is funded by the Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) and Local Gas Tax SB1. Traffic control measures will be used with restrictions to minimize impacts during commuting hours, according to Contra Costa County.
