Governor Gavin Newsom signed Senate Bill 328, a measure that advances the long-planned redevelopment of the former Concord Naval Weapons Station, according to Claycord.

The redevelopment plan calls for 12,272 homes, with 25% designated as affordable housing, Claycord reported. The project also includes approximately 6 million square feet of commercial space and more than 800 acres of parks and trails.

Brookfield is the master developer for the project, according to Claycord.
