San Francisco shoppers and East Bay culinary enthusiasts are flocking to the newly expanded H Mart anchor store at Oceanview Village Shopping Center in Ingleside Heights following a major structural renovation that increased the supermarket's footprint by roughly 55 percent. Completed in June 2026 at 3995 Alemany Boulevard near the Interstate 280 corridor, the multi-million-dollar commercial redevelopment absorbed the adjacent 28,000-square-foot commercial parcel formerly occupied by a 24 Hour Fitness health club. The transformation establishes a sprawling 75,000-square-foot, two-level Korean retail and dining complex serving San Francisco, Daly City, Oakland, Walnut Creek, and San Ramon families.

The architectural expansion introduced a dedicated downstairs retail concourse focused on specialized Asian kitchenware, smart rice cookers, ceramic tableware, and imported home appliances. Store operations managers reconfigured the main street-level grocery floor to widen produce aisles, expand live seafood tanks, and double the refrigerated display cases dedicated to house-made kimchi, marinated meats, and prepared banchan side dishes. Commercial building inspection records from the San Francisco Department of Building Inspection confirm that the project upgraded electrical subpanels, energy-efficient refrigeration racks, and passenger elevator access connecting the multi-story garage to both shopping floors.

The centerpiece of the Oceanview Village renovation is a comprehensively redesigned food court featuring celebrated regional and international culinary brands. New dining stalls include Dduk Dabang, a specialty cafe serving artisanal Korean rice cakes and traditional sweet beverages, alongside the Northern California counter debut of South Korea-based fried chicken chain BHC. In addition, acclaimed braised beef short rib specialist Daeho graduated from its original compact food court stall into a full restaurant-size counter-service dining room with expanded indoor seating.

San Francisco Planning Commission officials and District 11 economic development coordinators praised the commercial reinvestment, noting that anchor grocery expansions strengthen neighborhood foot traffic and municipal sales tax revenue across the southern corridor. Neighborhood merchant board representatives highlighted that the enlarged Alemany Boulevard complex attracts weekend culinary shoppers traveling via BART and Interstate 280 from Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Municipal transit planners also coordinated curb loading improvements along Alemany Boulevard to streamline delivery logistics and pedestrian access.

Customers can explore weekly grocery specials, downstairs housewares catalogs, and food hall operating hours online at hmart.com or by calling the Oceanview Village customer service desk at (415) 918-6339. The supermarket operates daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, while individual food hall vendors maintain service from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday through Sunday. Validated underground parking is available for shoppers entering from Alemany Boulevard and Orizaba Avenue.
