According to City of Livermore — News Flash: The Livermore Public Library is recruiting literacy volunteers to work one-to-one or with small groups on basic reading, writing, or conversation skills. Volunteers will undergo a three-part training program, with sessions running from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Each session is required for participation. Volunteers will typically meet with adults once or twice a week for one to two hours per meeting. No previous experience is necessary. Those interested can sign up by contacting literacy@livermoreca.gov or calling 925-373-5507.
