Oakland Police Make Two Arrests in August Robberies, Including Store Shootout

According to Hoodline: Oakland police have arrested two suspects in connection with armed robberies that occurred in August. The first incident took place on Aug. 19 at a store on the 2600 block of 14th Avenue, where a shootout occurred. A second robbery happened on Aug. 27 on the 1600 block of 8th Avenue, resulting in a woman being injured.
The first suspect was arrested on Sept. 10 without incident. The woman was taken into custody on suspicion of firearms-related offenses and on an outstanding warrant. The second arrest is connected to an assault and attempted robbery of a food delivery driver on Sept. 3.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on Sept. 17 in connection with the assault and attempted robbery of the food delivery driver. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts by Oakland police to address recent crime incidents in the area.
