According to NBC Bay Area: Fleet Week officially kicked off Sunday in San Francisco with a swearing-in ceremony led by Mayor Daniel Lurie. The event marks the beginning of a week-long celebration of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, featuring various activities and performances.

The Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron, are scheduled to begin practice flights on Thursday. Additionally, the USS Cape Saint George arrived over the weekend, adding to the maritime spectacle.

Public tours of the ships will commence on Wednesday, offering residents and visitors a chance to explore the naval vessels up close. Neighborhood concerts by Navy and Marine musicians will kick off on Tuesday, providing a musical backdrop to the festivities.
