Silicon Valley Circular Material Inc. (SVCM), an East Bay recycling company operating facilities in Fremont and Oakland, has filed a lawsuit against its former chief executive officer, Emiliano Zamora, according to Tri-City Voice. Across the East Bay corridor on Tuesday, AC Transit also issued a construction detour alert along Westgate Parkway for Lines 34 and 35, while Fremont civic organizations announced the winners of the Fremont Cultural Arts Council’s “Living on the Moon” flash fiction contest and wrapped up the SSK Foundation Golf Tournament.

SVCM Lawsuit Alleges Competing Business and Equipment Removal

According to the complaint reported by Tri-City Voice, SVCM alleges that Zamora built a competing business while still running SVCM, coordinated break-ins at the company’s Oakland facility to take site materials, and removed company property without authorization, including a Dodge work truck and a pressure washer.

The lawsuit further alleges that customers received false messages stating that SVCM had closed, along with conflicting directions regarding bin pick-ups and payments. SVCM stated that it remains in business and noted that the allegations in the complaint remain subject to proof in court.
