Six candidates for the El Cerrito City Council held a forum at the Veterans Memorial Association hall, where they discussed the city budget, renovations, and safe streets, according to Richmond Confidential.

The city came off the high-risk list in December 2024, Richmond Confidential reported.

Carolyn Wysinger, one of the candidates, would prioritize renovations to the city’s public safety building, Richmond Confidential noted.

Another candidate, Kimberly White, said the city budget relies too much on reserve funds, according to Richmond Confidential.
