A herd of 30 life-size elephant sculptures is heading to downtown Livermore this fall. The Great Elephant Migration, a free public art exhibition, runs from October 10 through December 6, 2026, according to Your Town Monthly.

The sculptures will be split between two locations: Bankhead Plaza and Stockmen's Park, Your Town Monthly reported.

Each sculpture is handcrafted from dried lantana plants and modeled after real wild elephants from southern India's Nilgiri Hills, according to Your Town Monthly. The works were created by Indigenous artisans from the Bettakurumba, Paniya, Kattunayakan, and Soliga communities.

According to Your Town Monthly: The exhibition is free and open to the public for the duration of its nearly two-month run.
